Tour summary: Day 1: Bishkek - Karakol
Your guide will meet you at Manas International Airport and accompany you to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek City. There is a short drive that takes 30 min. drive. In the city you will have breakfast and start transfer (200 km) to the treasure of Central Asia - Issyk Kul Lake (1608m.above sea level) which is second highest alpine lake in the world. The distance between Biskek and Issik - Kul is 200 km. and on the way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (collection of stone warriors). You will also visit stone depictions (dating back to 800 B.C.) not far from Cholpon Ata at the northern shore of the lake. National dinner will be in a restaurant in Karakol at 8 p.m. and for additional price you can have a national folklore show there. For the night you will stay in a Guesthouse.
Day 2: Karakol - Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley
Before we leave Karakol in the morning we will have City Tour. There you will visit very picturesque Dungan mosque built from wood without nails and old wooden Orthodox Church. We also will go to museum of M.V. Prejvalsky that stays at the high shore of Issyk Kul Lake and dedicated to a famous Russian explorer. He was a great explorer and the first person who crossed Taklamakan desert. After lunch we will leave Karakol and start transfer to Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley (70 km). There is a horseback riding start along the fanciful formed red mountains of Terskey range to the mineral sources at Jeli Suu (Dungan Village). And there is horseback riding to the old geophysics station of Chong Kyzyl Suu. Dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts. Yurta - is traditional nomadic dwelling, made of wooden frame covered by thick layer of felt. Usually it very well decorated by skilled Kyrgyz women.
Day 3: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Ashu Tor - Chong Kyzyl Suu (6h.)
The strengthening breakfast today will be followed with the rising to the Ashu Tor pass (2800m). After moving over the pass we start hike to a glittering alpine lake. The altitude allows seeing mountain goats there. After exploring of the mountain lake and lunch we will move back to the station. Dinner will be served at 8 p.m., night you will spend in yurts again.
Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Jumakuchak
In the morning we start to ride across Jumalai pass toward Jumakuchak along the amazing landscapes. We will stop to have a picnic on the pass with an astonishing view of the shining surface of Issyk-Kul Lake. Overnight and dinner will be organized in Jumakuchak in tents between nomadic yurts of Kyrgyz nomads.
Day 5: Jumakuchak - Kok Terek village
We start this day starts with a breakfast as usual, and after that we will ride toward Kok Terek Village (6h). The trail will lead us through the wonderful cave in red rocks called "500 rams". It is said that in olden times the nomads used this cave for their cattle. But some time later the part of the cave was destroyed by the earthquake. But even now it is possible to imagine the original size of this cave for 500 rams. We will have a halt at the sparkling mountain waterfall and there also you can visit hot springs (40 degrees Celsius). Afterwards, we move down to Kok Terek village. Our dinner and overnight are waiting for us in a home stay.
Day 6: Kok Terek - Bishkek
After breafast you pack your backpacks and we departure in the direction of Bishkek city (380 km, 6h drive). Lunch will be organized on the way. You will arrive to Bishkek and before you will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant you will be accommodated in a Hotel **** and have some time to rest.
Day 7: Bishkek - Europe
In the morning you will have breakfast; and on time arranged according to your departure details you will be attended to Manas International Airport.
